The company:
Based upon is a team of artists and designers creating highly acclaimed large scale artworks and sculptural furniture.
We are looking for an experienced studio and facilities manager to ensure the smooth running of our London premises. Details of the role are below and if you are a warm, friendly person and meet the criteria we would love to hear from you.
Core responsibilities:
- ensure the smooth running of our studios, making sure they are organised, well-equipped and operationally efficient, including IT, telecoms, stationary and equipment
- management of Based Upon facilities, including insurance, security, cleaning
- supplier management and purchasing, creating and processing purchase orders
- promoting and leading the way in administrative processes and best practice
- internal communications, managing shared diary and organising team events/meetings
- human resources, including recruitment, internal policies, records and procedures
- record keeping, specifically human resources and health and safety policies and procedures
- ensuring export documentation is recorded in line with HMRC requirements
- oversee of client hospitality
- manage studio assistant
*The tasks listed are not definitive and the role will be reviewed on a regular basis.
Essential experience/skills:
- strong organisational skills with an attention to detail and ability to multitask
- excellent record keeping
- three to five years experience in similar role within creative industries
- a good eye for art and design
- an understanding of the balance between creativity and professionalism
- Microsoft Office packages
- good numerical skills
Desirable experience/skills:
- financial management using Sage accounting application
- logistics, good knowledge of import and export
- ability to pick up software packages easily
- use of Salesforce.com or similar CRM packages
Other requirements:
Standard working hours are 08.45am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. However you are expected to work longer hours when required and occasional weekends.
You will receive a paid annual leave entitlement of 20 working days during a complete holiday year.
Work is based at the London office.
Salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
